The Influence of ICTs on Student's Academic Performance

Over the last few years, information and communication technology in the learning environment has become a priority for both the state and non-state actors. This informs investment in ICT infrastructure and human capital development. The key question, however, remains whether the use of ICTs in the learning environment has impact on academic performance. This book examines the importance of information and communication technology to learning. It applies research questions and data in assessing the impact of ICT on students¿ academic performance. The findings should shed light and insight into what needs to be the priority for investment and direction. Recommendations on how to improve the use of ICTs in teaching and learning in schools emerge from this work.
