The impact of violence on the caregiver-client relationship

This study aimed to describe the repercussions of violence and aggressiveness on the caregiver-caregiver relationship within the medical surgical emergencies. Violence in the emergency department is a daily reality for the staff and sometimes for the patients. Unfortunately, nursing staff are not spared by this phenomenon, they are more likely than other health professionals to be victims of violence in the workplace.Based on a situation of aggressiveness during an internship in an emergency room and readings about violence in the hospital, we wondered about the impact of violence in the emergency room, which has many repercussions, both on the organizational level and especially on the relational level.To do this, we asked ourselves the central question of our research: What are the repercussions of violence and aggression on the relationship between the caregiver and the patient in the emergency department?
