The Impact of Digitization on Economic Growth in Tunisia

This final-year project examines how digitalization is transforming economic processes and stimulating growth in Tunisia. By analyzing the theoretical underpinnings and practical implications, the study reveals a positive correlation between the rise of the Internet and GDP expansion, as well as promising dynamics in the ICT sector. In-depth empirical analysis shows that rapid Internet adoption and increased exports of ICT goods are conducive to economic growth. However, imports of ICT goods show fluctuations influenced by external economic factors. Despite limitations related to data availability and reliability, the results underline the growing importance of digitalization for economic growth in Tunisia, and the need for policies and investments to support this sector.
