The Human Resource Management of Universities in Thailand

Shorttitle During the past two decades there was a discussion about the human resource management of private and public universities in Thailand whether which group of universities has more effective human resource management. This book will introduce you to the human resource management of the private and public universities in the following aspects: human resource management in general; recruitment and selection; training and development; benefits and compensation; and discipline and promotion, in many more interesting details. For example, Private universities had more freedom to make very quick decisions on human resource management, and offered double pay of salary. On the other hand, public universities appeared to have placed great emphasis on social activities, and on having instructors and employees working outside of school that would be beneficial to the communities they are located.
