The history of World War II in domestic and foreign textbooks

The monograph is devoted to one of the fateful milestones in the history of the world - the Second World War, the assessment of which is ambiguous both in historical science and school textbooks. The author considers main interpretations of the war in Russian and foreign historiography, analyzes their reflection in school textbooks of Russia, USA, England and Germany. The relevance of the research is determined, first of all, by the tendencies towards unification of the content of education in different countries, on the one hand, and by the necessity of fostering patriotism and love for your own country, on the other hand. The study is based on a wide range of materials: both domestic and foreign textbooks for secondary schools in different years. The monograph is addressed to specialists in the field of educational content, teachers, postgraduates, students and all those interested in the history of the twentieth century.
