Beschreibung

The Bade people traced their historical origin and establishment from artifact through oral tradition. According to Hogbe S.J. (1966), said that Bade and their related Ngizim of Potiskum were the first people to migrate from Kanem Borno, the North side of Lake Chad and reached the Kumadugu Yobe at the time when the "sö people were still the dominant power in Borno. They seemed to have settled at Dillawa east of Geidam and named the area as ¿Badar¿ in memory of their original home far in the east. According to another source by Whitly G.C (1922), the Bades migrated from Yemen in Saudi-Arabia sequel to the Badar battle which dispersed many people. They moved west-ward and settle at Dadigar in Bursari. Their leader had a wife called Walu who gave birth to four children namely: Ago, Muza., Amsagiya (Kwolum) and Dodo (Buyum). The eldest Dodo remained Dadigar. The second Muza turned north and was said to have established the Tuareg dynasty. Amsagiya continued westward to find the Nigizim of Potiskum while Ago went south to find the Bade dynasty.
