The feeling of guilt

In 1929 Sigmund Freud, in one of his last works, Malaise in Culture, explains that it is not possible to escape the hypothesis that the feeling of guilt comes from the Oedipus complex. It was tempting to start from this hypothesis to develop an understanding of the feeling of guilt, all the more tempting as this book is so topical. However, this dissertation would not have reached its goal by the path of the current media. In fact, in order to understand the educational clinic, where anguish, conflict and guilt reign, it was necessary to take the path opened by Melanie Klein. The feeling of guilt is then rooted in an initial conflict whose model is taken up again at the age of the Oedipus and that every being must face if he wants to recognize himself in a culture and take his share of responsibility.
