The Earthly Journey: Exploring Relationships with Nature

The work, based on the author's doctoral dissertation, encompasses an exploration of how persons who have practiced shamanic journeying for a number of years have viewed their relationships with nature throughout their lifetimes before and after engaging in shamanic practice. Their practice provided a different lens through which to view nature. Their experiences were very rich and deep as portrayed by those that participated in the research. The author used Integral Inquiry, incorporating Heuristic and Organic methods and qualitative measures. The results provided avenues for further inquiry and a reason for inspiration at a time when the world faces dire environmental crisis.
