The book is all about the importance of rule of law as a cardinal point in a democratic rule. It explains the critical aspects of rule of in a state called Nigeria. The way and manner the political players observe the rule of democracy as a giant of Africa. It is a known fact that Nigeria had a long history of military rule with dictatorial principle. The citizens did not enjoy basic norms of good governance under the military regimes. However, the coming of democratic government in 1999 was a welcome development to all Nigerians. Long awaited opportunity came to pass when a democratic government was inaugurated under the control of President Olusegun Obasanjo on the 29th May, 1999.
