The contribution of hypnosis in anaesthesia

This book is about medical hypnosis: after an introduction and explanations about hypnosis and pain, I have chosen to give a few concrete examples of how I have used this wonderful tool - hypnosis - to radically change the way I approach patients. The protocol used in anaesthesia is adapted and adjusted. Each person is unique and I feel connected, inspired and even guided by intuition. Of course all the safety rules and anaesthetic equipment are there and checked, but a stronger alliance links me to the patient. A hundred people were so connected that I forgot to use my syringe. Today, after 10 years of hindsight, the most important thing is the patient's comfort and safety. Using hypnosis optimises the therapeutic alliance.
