The present research investigates the production of aluminum metal matrix composites using a compo-casting method. The matrix material was commercial purity aluminum and the reinforcement material was steel wires. The effect of adding the steel wires on the mechanical properties of the products was studied by carrying out the compression and bending tests. The effect of the number and orientation of steel wires were studied.
