The Ability to Read in the Comprehensive French Language Practice Class

This research aims to propose a methodological procedure in the process of acquiring the ability to read in the French language, through the analysis of texts, methods, materials, techniques and procedures, which are used for teaching reading. Its necessity is given in the vital exigencies of the process of teaching learning of the French language where the development of the ability to read is limited. A better conception for the teaching of reading is needed, one that focuses on the dynamics of the process as well as the selection of texts and developmental activities to be taken into account by the teacher and a procedure for teaching reading that achieves an increase in the students' interest in this crucial part of language acquisition.
