Glossolalia is a socio-religious occurrence that has been considered intriguing and challenging, particularly during the last hundred years, and considered by historians and social scientists as a religious phenomenon with extreme impact and relevance within Christianity.It is one of the most interesting and little-studied phenomena of spirituality within the Psychology of Religion, and one that has aroused growing interest among psychiatrists, neurologists, and linguists.It has to do with the practice of groups of believers, in worship settings and in certain circumstances of religious dynamics, being able to speak in languages or dialects they have never learned, and which they cannot decode or interpret, for rationally incomprehensible reasons.
