Testing on double blended green concrete with GGBS and copper slag

Concrete is the most widely used building material in now a day. The demand for sand is the major problem for conventional construction recently. We need a best alternative construction material to fulfil the sand demand. Its properties greatly depend on the proportion and properties of its constituent. Cements produces large amount of carbon-di-oxide and it is not much economy. Replacement of cement upto 80% with Ground Granulated Blast furnace Slag(GGBS) and replacing fine aggregate to Copper slag has emerged as a major alternative material for conventional concrete and has rapidly drawn from the concrete industry attention due to its cement savings, energy savings, cost savings, environmental benefits.
