Anton Chekhov has been a prominent Russian novelist and dramatist whose plays introduced a new style of realism to Russian literature. In his works, there is a strong satire on the negative side of human qualities, the inferiority. This book is a translation of Chekhov's famous play 'Three Sisters'. The play focuses on the conflict between reality and illusion. Three educated and intelligent sisters waste their youth in a provincial town unable to change for the better. The free and eloquent Urdu translation of this memorable play has been done by Zahida Zaidi who has been a unique Urdu poet, playwright, novelist and translator.
