TECHNICAL EDUCATION IN SUDAN

The qualifying of the Technician needs several capabilities such as establishing laboratories and specialized workshops, preparation and qualifying of instructors and trainers; and updating and review of the curricula in accordance with the needs of the labor market and development.Chapter one includes introduction to technical and vocational education in Sudan, which constitute general introduction, study on vocational training system development in the Republic of Sudan, development potentials of vocational training system, issues facing the SCVTA and VTCs, framework of planning, proposal for an immediate project, important given conditions for a better vocational training system, and pilot activities. In chapter two historical background of technical education in Sudan was introduced and discussed thoroughly. Chapters three discusses current situation of technical education from the viewpoints of the national project of establishing ideal technical colleges, the technical colleges, and challenges facing technical education. Chapter four is the conclusions which summarizes the important points in technical education in Sudan.
