Teaching Strategies in Home Economics & Entrepreneurship

This three-unit course deals with pedagogical content knowledge and skills in Home Economics and Entrepreneurship necessary in teaching and learning in the elementary level. Selected topics in strategies in Home Economics and Entrepreneurship are major parts of the course and experiential learning approach which is the focus of the course.After completion of the course, the students must have accomplished the following outcomes: (1) The learner demonstrates basic knowledge, skills,and values in home economics and entrepreneurship. (2) The learner demonstrates research-based knowledge, skills, and values in home economics and entrepreneurship. (3) The learner demonstrates enhanced and expanded knowledge in home economics and entrepreneurship. (4) The learner demonstrates an understanding of his/her Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies, the environment and market, and process/production and delivery of home economics and entrepreneurial course. (5) The learner demonstrated the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes in Home Economics and Entrepreneurship, which will enable him/her to gain employment, become an entrepreneur, a middle level manpower and pursue higher education.
