Teaching ESL to the Learners: A Focus on Learners' Interests

The book gives a clear picture how a second language learner can be successful when a teacher concentrates on the learner. Learning can take place effectively if the focus is on the learner and if they are encouraged to play an active role in the shaping of their English Language Learning. The book presents how the traditional role of the teacher as a ¿dispenser of information¿ hinders the learners from learning the language and presents a ¿facilitator¿ role to the teacher. The book also aims at training the learners in strategies, processes and activities which can be used for language learning to become efficient, self-motivated learners.
