System for the management of the monthly work plan

The increasing amount of information constantly generated affects the correct management of information in Cuban institutions, such as higher education centres. In the present research, a review of the historical, conceptual and referential background about the information management process of the work plan is carried out. It diagnoses the current situation of the computer tools used to control this process at the University of Ciego de Avila, corroborating the existing limitations in the management of information of the work plan at the Faculty of Informatics and Exact Sciences. For these reasons, the objective of this work is to develop a computer system for the management of work plan information, which is a web application developed with the Python Web2py framework, MySQL as a database management system, and Extreme Programming (XP) as a software development methodology, which guarantees the required security and protection. The new application allows to control the information related to the work plan.
