In this present work, different benzimidazole derivatives were synthesised by conventional method and it was optimised by distinct melting point, infra-red spectroscopy and UV absorbance. All the synthesised compounds showed good antimicrobial activity and further it was scrutinized for anti-tubercular activity where the compounds 2 and 3 showed good activity against H37Rv strain whereas compound 1 showed moderate activity. So these compounds can be further subjected to drug designing and evaluated by computational studies to yield excellent activity.
