Synthesis and biological activity of schiff-base bearing moieties.

The newly synthesized two series namely: (E)-2-benzylidene-N-(2-((5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)thio)acetyl) hydrazinecarboxamide /(E)-2-benzylidene-N-(2-((5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) thio) ethanethioyl) hydrazine carboxamide (OS1 to OS18) were prepared. These compounds synthesized from 5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiol, Thiosemicarbazide (TSC) and Semicarbazide (SC) were vital functionalities containing the wide range of Pharmacological activities and have a wide range of therapeutic properties. The structure of the synthesized compounds was confirmed by spectral data and evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities against fungi, Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
