SWOT Analysis of Emerging Agro-Enterprises

SWOT analysis is applied frequently on systems and organization for taking appropriate decisions for their smooth running. 'Strategic Management' is a continuous process of effectively relating the organizational objectives and resources to the opportunities in the environment. SWOT analysis is one of the effective tools of strategic management which may help cynical policy makers and managers in shaping the strategic directions of a specific agency operating within a given situation or context.SWOT analysis has expanded application in agriculture and its allied sectors apart from industry, household and politics. It is highly relevant for taking appropriate decision. This concept gives a theory of action which assumes that the actor strives to achieve goals.The four enterprises namely mushroom, vegetables, poultry and fishery were selected owing to their prominence. SWOT as one of the modern tools of management is assumed to be providing right answers to the problems faced by entrepreneurs specifically in the field of agriculture.
