Supply Response of Chickpea

Study reveals that Balapur (16.83 days),Patur (16.63 days) and Akot utilized at highest level of male labour i.e (17.73 days) and overall (17.06 days) hired.The gross return from gram for Akot, Balapur and Patur tahsils were estimated to be` 35085.05, ` 44068.41, ` 44506.29, respectively, whereas at overall level it was ` 41319.92. At overall level cost ¿A¿, cost ¿B¿ and cost ¿C¿ were ` 16421.46, ` 26939.09, ` 27872.89, respectively.The net return in selected tahsils was worked out to be 12700 at overall level. The input output ratio for over all size groups at cost A cost B and cost C were 2.51, 1.53 and 1.47 respectively. In overall,Out of total production, 89.22 per cent is supplied to market, while 5 per cent is consumed and rest is used for other purpose in farm and households. Distribution of sample chick pea farmers based on marketing efficiency showed that 14.44 per cent of the chick pea producers were below the mean level of efficiency, while 15.55 per cent of the chick pea producers were above the mean level of efficiency.The rest of 70 per cent of the chick pea producers were concentrated on or around the mean efficiency
