Supply Chain Strategies, Technology And Performance

This book sets out to establish the role of technology in the relationship between supply chain strategies and overall firm performance by addressing four primary gaps in the literature: the study of the four variables (supply chain strategies, supply chain technology, supply chain performance and firm performance) in isolation. The study also concluded on future research considerations for additional variables, external validity, qualitative research design aimed at extending the research. For policy and practical implications, it is concluded that managers should recognize the need of long range supply chain strategies aligned with overall business strategy to improve overall firm performance than running the supply chain operations as Mid-range activities.
