Supply Chain Management Practices in Indian Textile Industry

This book examines state of supply chain management (SCM) & supply chain performance measurement (SCPM) practices in Indian textile industry. Book presents study that has very comprehensive review of literature in field of SCM & SCPM in global context as well in Indian context. Book presents extracts of gap identified in existing practices of SCPM. Research framework is developed. Framework is built based on gaps and in consultation with experts of textile industry, academicians from textile institutes, consultants and practitioners. Hierarchical framework for decision making is developed using structured Delphi Method and implemented in 4 case textile industries. Book explains the implementation methodology and its rationale. Framework implemented is used to examine the crucial performance measures and their criticality level towards overall supply chain performance measurement of textile industry using analytical hierarchy process (AHP) as multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique.
