Suite of components for text visualization

To clearly and accurately display the results of complex Natural Language Processing and Text Mining algorithms in a way that facilitates and accelerates decision making by non-specialized end users in these areas is currently a major challenge from both academic and commercial perspectives. This paper addresses the issue of text visualization, particularly that associated with the results of text mining algorithms, emphasizing the importance of generalization and reuse of the visual components associated with this field. It arises from the need of a software company to have a tool that helps to homogenize the visual representations in common text mining tasks. In this direction, a suite of components for text visualization is presented, designed with the objective of facilitating its reuse by other software applications. The contents of this book should prove very useful for professionals in the field of Data Visualization, Text Mining, Business Intelligence and other related fields.
