The term lymphoma describes a broad group of malignant tumors that affect blood cells with an immune role. Lymphomas can be localized in different tissues and characterized by the absence at the onset of the disease of the leukemic ensemble. Lymphomas are divided into two main categories: Hodgkin¿s lymphoma and non- Hodgkin¿s lymphoma.In this book are presented 4 subtypes of non- Hodgkin¿s malignant lymphomas namely: ¿ Burkitt lymphoma,¿ Hairy cell leukemia,¿ Large granular T-cell lymphocytic leukemia,¿ T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. In today¿s current context ¿ when technology, discoveries, inventions and humanity are evolving with astonishing speed ¿ it is very important to be put in place and to have information on rare and common diseases alike, diseases that are terrible for patients and their families. Symptoms of these diseases include splenomegaly and hepatomegaly which are also present in lysosome diseases such as: Gaucher, Pompe, Fabry, Niemann-Pick and Mucopolisaccharidosis. that¿s why the specialist who examines the smear/ biopsy should have excellent eyes and solid knowledge, knowing things of finesse.
