Irrespective of management, making and implementing the decisions involved in organizing and operating their farm for maximum production and profit. In management of farm enterprise farmers need to innovate and update agricultural economics for information on prices, markets, agricultural policy, and credit. It also draws attention on plant sciences for information on soils, seed, and fertilizer, control of weeds, insects, and diseases, and rations and breeding; agricultural engineering for information on farm buildings, machinery, irrigation, crop drying, drainage, and erosion control systems; and on psychology and sociology for information on human behavior. In making his decisions as a farm manager thus integrates information from the biological, physical, and social sciences.
