Study of the physico-chemical characteristics of coastal sands

Sand is a solid granular material made up of small particles resulting from the disintegration of materials of mineral origin (mainly rocks) or organic (shells, coral skeletons, etc.). Its composition can reveal up to 180 different minerals (quartz, micas, feldspars, etc.) as well as calcareous debris.Sand has many applications as a granular material, the main one is the manufacture of concrete or mortar in the field of civil engineering, our study is sought to identify this material physically and chemically, first we will give a general presentation on the properties of the different types of coastal sands used in construction.Our study aims to know the physical and chemical properties of littoral sands.
