The construction sector has been consuming natural resources and energy at an unbridled rate. As a result, the sector is concerned with minimising this consumption by coming up with new concepts and technical solutions aimed at the sustainability of its activities. One of these solutions is the use of soil-cement bricks in civil construction, which are sustainable and use soil, cement and water, as well as reducing the consumption of mortar in their application and other advantageous features. Rio Grande do Norte has only five soil-cement brick factories, despite the simplicity of the manufacturing process.
