STUDY FOR THE ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF MICRO-ENTERPRISES

The objective of this work was to study and analyze the organizational development of microenterprises in the city of Esmeraldas; the business and developmental sectors were reviewed in general, while the microenterprise sector was analyzed in particular. In addition to the analysis of the most relevant facts, statistics and economic phenomena, in order to characterize each business sector under study, an attempt was made to provide an institutional approach to the dominant paradigms and conceptions, which are concepts much more explanatory of the social, political and economic transformations that have taken place in the country in the past.Microenterprises make an important contribution to employment, production and national income, to the promotion of talent, strength and entrepreneurial flexibility to face the dynamism of the World Economy. The microenterprise sector represents a considerable part of IDB investments; between 2000 and 2006, 471 operations were approved for microenterprises, for a value of $452 million. The Province of Esmeraldas has been the least developed region in the country.
