Investigations on biology of fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) on maize were carried out in the laboratory of Department of Agricultural Entomology, C. P. College of Agriculture. Simultaneously, the field experiment was carried out to study the population dynamics, varietal screening and efficacy of different insecticides as well as various bio-pesticides against fall armyworm, S. frugiperda at Agronomy Instructional Farm, C. P. College of Agriculture, S. D. Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar. Survey o fall armyworm, S. frugiperda was carried out in maize growing areas of North Gujarat during kharif, 2020.
