In parallel to the worldwide increase in pet ownership, the number of owned pets in Turkey has also shown a remarkable increase in recent years, and the pet sector has become an industry with a high economic volume. Like it does for some other industries as well Istanbul stands out as the largest market in Turkey pet industry. The aim of the studies is to shine a spotlight on both the veterinarians working and the students who plan to work in this field by examining some socio-demographic characteristics of veterinarians and economic status of the clinics in ¿stanbul province.
