Studies and implementation of a highly available network

The objective of this book was to implement a network solution increasing the rate of availability by ensuring a reliable network in terms of hardware and connectivity while allowing easy management to administrators. Indeed, we tried to design a solution that ISEP could use to prepare a technical file for a project of rehabilitation of its computer network, the layout and its implementation. This project allowed us to put into practice the knowledge acquired during our training as senior technicians in systems administration and computer networks at ISEP-THIES. To implement this project, we acquired the knowledge necessary to create an efficient and scalable campus network. We have deepened our knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch features such as VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, port aggregation, Spanning-Tree and high availability in general. In order to accomplish our work and achieve the expected result, we have chosen the Cisco Packet Tracer simulator because of the different advantages it presents.
