Student-Centred Teaching and Learning

Student-centred teaching and learning is an approach that has been adopted by many higher education institutions. This book will start with a detailed analysis of student-centred teaching and learning, then in chapter two the difference between teacher-centred vs student-centred will be explained. In chapter three, how to use this teaching and learning strategy will be clarified. In chapter four authentic real- world best practices of student-centred teaching and learning will be discussed and finally, in chapter five the challenges that arise will be examined and relevant solutions will be presented. It is believed that these real-life examples,which have been successfully applied by universities, will allow stakeholders to move beyond abstract theoretical ideas, and to encourage the adoption of SCTL practices.
