Structures and Geothermal Resource of Eastern Benin Basin, Nigeria

The Benin Basin is suspected to have potential for geothermal resource, crude oil, bitumen and limestone capable of generating significant national income. Hitherto, no scientific investigation has been conducted to characterize these resource potentials. This book employed relatively cheap, fast and environmentally friendly potential field methods to characterize the structural disposition and geothermal potential of a frontier basin. The book systematically outlined how hydrocarbon and geothermal resources in a basin, with the structures controlling them, could be investigated using geopotential field attributes and should show how evolutionary model of a basin could be synthesized using geophysical tools. The content of this book would help investors and government make well guided investment decisions and proof useful to professionals and academia or any interested individuals on application of cutting edge geophysical tools for basinal studies.
