STRICTLY COORDINATED SUBSYSTEM OF ORGANIC QUINOA IN PERU

Peru is one of the largest producers of organic quinoa in the world and one of the main exporters of this product. The Organic Quinoa Agribusiness Subsystem in Peru faces the challenge of adapting and/or redesigning itself to satisfy the new global consumers. The increase in demand and the coordination of supply systems imply the need to generate innovations, which no longer depend on an individual producer but on an associative form and require the collective work of the different actors and participants that make up the subsystem. This is why we will describe the innovations at the institutional, organizational, technological and commercial levels that took place in the COOPAIN CABANA PUNO cooperative, identifying the form of adaptation and organization of the supply system.
