Strategic Financial Analysis

Managers look to the financial data because they want to find the answer to the following questions: How well has the business performed and why? What operating areas have or not contributed to the performance? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the company standing? What changes could be applied to improve the future performance? In the light of above stated questions and the objective of the research, the problem statement of that elaboration is worded as follows: "What strategy should be implemented by the firm, undergoing a restructuring process in order to cope with changing environment considering the results of the company¿s financial performance". As economic developments and the actions of competitors affect the ability of any business enterprise to perform successfully, it is necessary to preface the evaluation of a firm¿s financial statements with an analysis of the environment in which the business operates. There are two approaches in the literature, during environmental analysis: Porter¿s approach to industry analysis and SPACE matrix (The Strategic Position and Action Evaluation Matrix), both are applied in this book.
