This book is the result of a study that aimed to analyse the strategic and financial viability of producing biogas from pig waste in the municipality of Itaipulândia, located in the state of Paraná, Brazil. The methodology used was qualitative analysis with a single case study. The data was collected through interviews, the use of various documents and research, comparing it with the selected theoretical basis. The strategic tools used were: Porter's Five Forces; SWOT Analysis; Scenario Analysis and the Financial Indicators: Payback, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Profitability Index (ÍL).
