Status Of Child Care Institutions in Gujarat: A Profile Study

A number of children are deprived of opportunities for normal growth and development due to several factors including neglect, abuse, social as well as economic conditions of the family etc. issues as such stagnate the growth and development of the child in a holistic manner and the children are left, most of the time, to live on their own. In such circumstances, the community has to take up the major responsibility of catering to the citizens of tomorrow and providing a conducive environment for the physical, mental, rational and spiritual well-being of the child. The present book is an attempt to gather the status of Child Care Institutions working in various parts of Gujarat with a primary aim to cover details like the availability of basic infrastructural facilities, quality of service provided to the children and the overall conduct of the Child Care Institutions in the state of Gujarat.
