State and Municipal Governance in Russia

The monograph covers a range of problems related to the specifics of state and municipal administration in modern Russia; the level of impact on this area of specific internal and external factors, which are the most relevant today, is studied from different perspectives. Thus, the author analyses the impact of digitalization on public administration at both the federal and regional levels, identifies its [digitalization] relationship with the Covid-19 pandemic, identifies specific consequences of such processes for the key areas of Russian society, and also identifies obstacles to successfully overcome the identified challenges and threats. The author concludes his discussion of each of the studied problems with specific recommendations for improving state and municipal governance based on the current realities.
