In the present book, ¿T¿ section concrete column is tested under concentric load, variable eccentric load and pure moment condition. For the eccentric load condition, two different eccentricities of 40 mm and 80 mm are chosen. Control specimens of square section with equivalent area and steel as ¿T¿ section are also tested under similar conditions. Only uniaxial bending condition is considered. The test results are compared with theoretical values.The crack pattern and load-deflection curves are observed for both cases.Suitability of ¿T¿ section column as replacement of square or rectangular section is studied in this book.
