Solid Waste Management Plan - Case of Ghazipur City

This study is conducted with an aim to prepare the Solid waste management plan for Ghazipur Municipal Area. Need of the study is because the solid waste statistics of Ghazipur City (U.P. India), given by Nagarpalika further proves that the waste disposal in the city lacks the basic infrastructure needed for management services. It is estimated that with increase in population, the city will become more congested. If attention is not given at this stage, it will not only increase the problems of urban dwellers but also disturb the future waste management cycle. A comprehensive literature review is done to understand the key terminologies, theories, standards, norms, tools & techniques, etc related to Solid Waste Management.
