An implant can thus be a successful replacement for a tooth. The success of implant placement procedure has been primarily defined by its osseointegration and primary stability. With advancing age, implant may not be considered successful unless the patient is pleased with both the functional and esthetic results. The cosmetic predictability of the treatment is the most crucial factor responsible for its success. While placing an implant in anterior tooth region, esthetics play a major role in defining what is now called success of rehabilitation. Complete reconstruction of tooth and gingival related aesthetics remains the primary objective and in some instances can be very difficult to achieve.
