The role of information cannot be overemphasized in enhancing agricultural production, improving productivity, marketing and distribution strategies. Farmers in Nigeria are poor not because they are small but because they do not have access to and ways to convey valuable information to them in order to improve their productivity. This study was carried out to determine the effect of the level of media source utilization on millet farmers¿ productivity in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State, Nigeria. A two stage sampling procedure was used to select six farming communities and a proportionate sample of 219 respondents were selected at random at 12% of the sample frame of registered Kano Agricultural Development Project (ADP) farmers. 34.3% of the respondents have a household size of 1 ¿ 10, 24.2% has 1 ¿ 2ha of arable land. The result reveals that mean credit need was ¿83,698:63 but only ¿43,042:06 was received. 58.5% of the respondent utilize only one media source while age, education, household size and access to credit are significant to access to agricultural information at 1%. The study affirm that the use of media sources for information dissemination was effective.
