Socio-demographic Determinants of Elderly Well-being in Nigeria

Addressing population ageing through research in a continent with no social or health policies targeted at the elderly is crucial for identifying gaps in service provision and suggesting solutions to the challenges of the elderly. Understanding the interrelationship between ageing, health, health systems and health care utilization is significant as it provides the base for examining the need for a National Health Policy on Ageing and social policy which takes into account the social needs of the aged.
