This book was ordered for the interested people in communication sciences and disorders especially who are working for challenged people, disabled and disorder. Disorders and disability studies in Bangladesh are new discipline comparatively and it is multi-disciplinary. The book contains basic information about the coverage and existing thinking pattern of mass people, advocacy organizations and media of worldwide and Bangladesh about challenged people, disorders, disabled. Disability studies are a broad area of theory, research and practice that are antagonistic to the popular view that disability equates with personal tragedy. While we may identify people as having physical, sensory, cognitive or mental health impairments, disability studies place the problems of disability in society. This book views the representations of challenged people on media, and analyzing the existing discourses of Society, Mass Media and Representations of Challenged People. Challenged people may be physical, cognitive, mental, sensory, emotional, developmental, achieved or some combination of these. At present the mainstream attitudes and thinking about challenged people are not positive at all.
