Societal Resistance for Paying for Services through Marketing

The water and sanitation sector in Zambia falls under the Ministry of Local Government and Housing and is regulated by the National Water and Sanitation Council (NWASCO). This unsustainable financial situation at the public service provider is largely because most customers who are supplied with the company¿s services at a huge cost do not consistently and in some cases have never thought of paying for the services they receive. This research project endeavors to establish the various reasons and attitudes which have been major causes of the non- payment of water and sanitation bills among the various customers of Kafubu Water and Sewerage Company Limited in Ndola, Luanshya and Masaiti.
