Social injustice and conflict:

Today, we are witnessing a meteoric rise in various forms of conflict around the world, and particularly in Africa. In speeches, debates, struggles and demonstrations, the issue of security, social justice and peace has become the preoccupation of academics, national and international organizations, and social and political actors. In reality, the demand for recognition can lead to social disaster. Victims can use any means to make themselves heard and recognized. Villages burnt down, granaries set on fire, women raped, land abandoned, schools closed, refugees disoriented, bodies charred. Such is the sad reality facing African societies. Social cohesion is under threat: "Civil and political peace is seriously threatened in Africa, even though it is the first, original and fundamental condition of all development".
