Social forestry and restoration of argan forest landscapes

The forest landscapes of the argan tree encompasses a mosaic of ecosystems that reflect a differential evolution of the territories associated with the argan tree known for its forestry, fruit and pastoral uses and this, in relation to human activities devoted to silvo-pastoral and agro-forestry practices. The relations of the rural communities to the wooded spaces of the argan tree, were woven of long history translating the anchoring of the social forestry in this region known as of the argan tree. The approaches of social forestry thus developed by the rural communities, are progressively used to initiate restorative measures of the forest landscapes of the argan tree in a context of global changes.
